One of the most frustrating parts about rebuilding Amal 600 / 900 series concentric carburetors is getting the float height adjusted correctly: too low and your bike is starved for fuel, too high and it spews out and makes a bloody mess. The standard white plastic floats, aside from not playing well with ethanol fuels, require the seat itself to be moved up or down in the float bowl and when not done correctly it's easy to damage the seat. Luckily, there's a better way now! These stay up floats are compatible with ethanol fuels and feature a bendable tab making float height adjustment a breeze! Fitted as standard to current production Amal Premier and Wassell Evolution carburetors, these are a direct replacement for the original Amal floats fitted to 600 & 900 series MK1, MK1.5 and MK2 concentric carbs.
