Especially with modern ethanol fuels, the Amal carb pilot circuit is quickly and easily blocked with varnish when bikes are left to sit - even just a few days or weeks can cause a hard starting condition due to blocked pilot circuits. Simply remove the air screw and gently screw this tool into the circuit to clear any blockage, blow out with carb cleaner and compressed air, and refit your air screw to get up and running.
